Understanding Skill Rating (SR)

The Call of Duty ranked system uses a Skill Rating (SR) system to determine your rank. Here's everything you need to know.

The Rank Tiers

1. Bronze (0-899 SR) — Starting tier for new players

2. Silver (900-2,099 SR) — Players showing basic competitive skills

3. Gold (2,100-3,599 SR) — Above average competitors

4. Platinum (3,600-5,399 SR) — Skilled competitive players

5. Diamond (5,400-7,499 SR) — Elite competitors

6. Crimson (7,500-9,999 SR) — Top tier ranked players

7. Iridescent (10,000+ SR) — Master level

8. Top 250 — The absolute elite, tracked on a global leaderboard

How SR Gains Work

Your SR gains and losses are determined by several factors:

  • Match result — Winning gives SR, losing costs SR
  • Individual performance — K/D, objective play, and damage dealt
  • Expected outcome — Playing against higher-ranked players gives more SR for a win
  • Win/loss streak — Consecutive wins accelerate SR gains
  • Placement Matches

At the start of each season, you play 5 placement matches to determine your starting rank. Your previous season's SR is used as a baseline, but you can place higher or lower depending on performance.
